Spirit Weavers Gathering is a five day celebration of cultures past, a remembering and practicing of basic human skills to ensure the survival of the body and the soul. By gathering together as Women, we share our skills in remembrance of our path and in honor of our Ancestors. Through sharing space with one another, we are able to more gracefully arrive at a new understanding of what it would look like in our lives to more fully commit to being in right relationship to nature.

Caitlin will be joining Spirit Weavers again for the fifth year to share her gifts of working with the earth. She will be offering an Earth Bench Workshop during the Sun Session, May 31- June 4, 2018.

Come join us and get earthy in this hands-on workshop! We are building a cob bench on the Spirit Weavers land for all to use and enjoy. Cob is a natural and sustainable building material that has been used for centuries consisting of clay, sand, straw, and water. We will be mixing this material with our feet, applying with our bare hands, thus this is safe to use with all ages. In this workshop we will discuss the history of cob, recipes, how to build with the earth, finishing plasters, and waterproofing. You will walk away with the experience of building a communal structure from start to finish, handouts to take home for further study, and resources to continue your building experience.
